August is National Black Business Month, a time to recognize and support Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs across the country.  This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of the launch of our Organic Berry Fruitful Cereal. That’s why Kashi has decided to recognize our partnership with Baldwin Richardson Foods Co and celebrate our commitment to providing Certified Organic foods.

Baldwin Richardson Foods are one of the largest African American family owned and operated businesses in the food industry, now women-led by sisters Erin Tolefree and Cara Hughes. For the past decade, they have supplied Kashi with the organic fruit filling that is an essential ingredient in our Organic Berry Fruitful Cereal.  This marks another step in our journey as we continue to celebrate & recognize Black thought leaders across the food industry who align with Kashi’s purpose of making eating well easy.

At Kashi, we strive to create delicious and nutritious food for you and your family, and we know that part of nourishing people, is nourishing our planet too. That’s why Kashi is committed to using sustainable practices, such as organic, that will have a positive impact on the environment.

This year marks one decade since we launched Organic Berry Fruitful Cereal. We’re proud to support organic suppliers to continue producing cereals that are better for the planet. Let’s take a look at just how amazing this nutritious cereal really is. Just one serving of this delicious Non-GMO Project Verified cereal provides you with an excellent source of fiber, a good source of 5 vitamins and minerals, 51g of whole grains, is low in sodium and of course, plant based.
